Nate Hirsch


ate was born and raised in Southern California but has called the Bay Area home for over 10 years. He has been in tech recruiting since his first steps in Silicon Valley, where he got his start at a boutique agency specializing in engineering recruiting for early stage startups. He then joined Uber in 2015 as one the first members of the technical recruiting team, helping the company scale to over thirty thousand by the time he left. He was able to help Uber scale by making a few hundred technical hires in engineering, TPM, product and data science across all levels from university to leadership. He departed Uber In 2018 to join Facebook (now Meta) to further explore technical recruiting at scale. During his tenure at Facebook, he built processes and best practices for a recruiting function that hired over a thousand engineering leaders.

Outside of work, he resides in the East Bay with his wife Gina and welcomed their first child Levi in 2021. On weekends you can find them on a family run together or enjoying a backyard BBQ with their family and friends. He is an endurance junkie and loves all things fitness from running half marathons to completing triathlons. He is a passionate sports fan, frequent TV binge watcher and can easily be tempted into trying any new restaurant.

Professionally, connecting people is his passion and lives by the philosophy that recruiting is the backbone of success for any company. Having the top talent in the industry allows for any company to thrive and reach its pinnacle. He has always viewed his role as an adviser to leaders in how to make critical hires and help consult individuals in making their next career decision.
